About this Event

Come and join us for a truly unique wine tasting event; a mix of horizontal and vertical flights of three wines with each course. For those of you that know wine and wine tasting events, just scroll down for the list and it should sell itself. For the rest, keep reading. A 'horizontal' flight involves tasting the same varietal and year (vintage), but from different producers. A 'vertical' flight involves tasting wines of the same label but from different years (vintages). All of the wines you will try are made to age, and all of them are in their drinking window or yet to enter it. If you've ever wondered how a great wine can improve with age then this event will answer that question. You don't need to be a wine snob to enjoy this event - it is designed to cater for everyone. Informal seating arrangements around one large table. Come alone or get a group together. Drink in the order and at the pace that suits you. You can choose to spit or swallow (no pun intended). Read the wine critics notes and/or write your own. Based on an average 50mL serving size of all 9 wines, it is equivalent to around 4.5 standard drinks. The wines are all super premium classification, scoring at least 95 points (from 100) with at least one major wine critic.
