VCCC MONDAY LUNCH LIVE EVENT
From Survey Data to Better Models of Care
Patient experience is a top priority for most health care providers so data and benchmarks that can inform and guide improvement is a highly valuable resource.
In 2013 and 2015 the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre undertook the Cancer Patient Experience Survey (CPES) across its partner health services to initiate a process of quality improvement and better models of clinical care from a patient's perspective. Based on the methodology and questions created by the NHS in England, the CPES was adapted for the Victorian health system and population.
Professor Mei Krishnasamy, Chair in Cancer Nursing at the University of Melbourne and Research & Education Lead in Cancer Nursing for the VCCC, will provide an insight into the purpose and process of the CPES and how this knowledge can be used to drive improvements in all aspects of a patient's healthcare experience.
Prof Krishnasamy will also present the new CPES data portal and demonstrate how it can be used to inform quality improvement and improve patient experience across the VCCC alliance.
Light lunch served from 12.30pm
Presentation: 1pm- 2pm
