From Stage to Screen

A hallmark of a great actor is being able to move between stage and screen. The mediums require very different skills and approaches. This is an important concept for actors to grasp. In this workshop Kayte will explore varous approaches and through performance and filming participants will be able to self evaluate developing their skills in this area. Kayte's approach is practical and hands on. Participant will develop an understanding of the different process and orles of actors and directors through comparing and experiencing what it takes to make it on stage and on screen.
Kayte Borg is a creative industry professional with a career spanning 25 years from professional acting, writing, directing and producing Australian film and theatre. Kayte has regularly been commissioned to produce and direct. Along side stage work, Kayte, owned managed talent management agencies. In this role she prepared many actors for on screen auditions and performances.
Kayte is the owner and director of the Acting and Communication Academy. since 2010 and has since run the accreditted Pre-Diploma and Diploma program, she has also introduced ESL programs, providing public speaking training across all of the year eight english classes while continuing to run the renound Speech and Drama and effective communcation classes at MLC and now Trinity Prep. Kayte is also an entertainment industry lawyer as well as working as a consultant in communications training.
