This is part 1 of a two part gig all about the power of pretend play - the most important type of play of all. This one lays out what it is that makes pretend play work. Join play specialist Marc Armitage to find out more.

This 50 minute on-line on-demand gig is about exploring a 1902 theory called 'Liminality' and how vital this is in enabling pretend play to happen. This is deep theory stuff and can open our eyes to what we do that can help pretend play or hinder it.

It is relevant to any age group in a play setting from toddlers to teenagers, and pretty much any type of setting where children spend time playing.
