Would you like to learn how to make doughnuts from scratch but are overwhelmed by all of the steps involved? Making yeast raised doughnuts requires patience in proofing time and correct oil temperatures for frying.
Keva will demonstrate from start to finish how to make delicious doughnuts using a brioche dough and then show you how to decorate and finish them in 3 different ways! Classic fondant dipped doughnuts with sprinkles, jam filled and Kitchener buns. This class will be hands on, as this is always the best way to learn! There will be a maximum of 4 attendees per class, so there's plenty of opportunity for one on one teaching.
This class will last approximately 4-5 hours, during this time you will learn how to:
• Make a brioche dough from scratch using yeast
• Understand proofing time
• Mould and cut your doughnuts
• Determine which oil to use and correct temperatures for frying• Make a fast raspberry jam
• Make fresh Chantilly cream
• Decorate doughnuts with fondant
• Fill doughnuts with jam & fresh cream
You will be given all of the recipes, methods, tips and tricks and you will take home a box of approximately 12 doughnuts, which you have made during the class.
Please note - small class of 4 students only, students must be 18 years or older or accompanied by a adult who is also attending the class. $245.00 per student (fee includes one person only), the full fee is payable upon booking to secure your place.
***The class will only go ahead if all tickets are sold, in the case where they are not, you will be given a refund. If you purchase a ticket and cannot attend the class, you can send someone in your place. Refunds will not be given, if cancelled less than 14 days before the event.
