Event description
A Law Week 2021 panel on public international law and examples of how it applies in Victoria.

About this event

International law isn’t only something that applies ‘over there.’ From the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities to the Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act to the Geneva Conventions, questions related to public international law arise regularly in our domestic legal system.

Join the International Commission of Jurists Victoria as a part of Victorian Law Foundation Law Week 2021 for an online conversation about what public international law is, where it pops up in our domestic law, and how it is relevant to the work of lawyers and our legal system in Victoria.

All are welcome and questions encouraged!
