Description

Growing, cooking, making … celebrate our creative community.

From sustainability and food production to artistic development and cuisine culture, join MC Madonna King and our celebrity guests in a stimulating conversation.

Sample local produce, relax to local musicians and browse local artist displays, pop-up museum, pop-up gallery shop and library display.

Our guests:

  • Madonna King: Madonna is an award-winning journalist, author and commentator and has long been known as the voice of current affairs in Queensland.
  • Jerry Coleby-Williams: Jerry is an internationally experienced horticultural botanist, conservationist, editor and writer.
  • Alastair McLeod: Alastair’s career as a chef has been wide and varied, he started his TV career on Channel Ten and moved to radio where he still delights audiences with his wit and charm. Al has also established his own business Al’FreshCo.
  • Matt Golinski: Matt is one of the original team members of the Ready Steady Cook television series, he has worked as executive chef at some of Queensland’s leading restaurants and founded his own catering company.

Doors open 5.30pm, panel discussion from 6.30pm. Registration essential.

Parent/Guardian supervision
Adults are required to stay in the library while children under 12 attend library programs. Young people aged 12 and up can attend library programs unsupervised.
