FrogWatch SA Workshop - Banrock Station
Thu. 20 October 2016, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm ACDT
We want to thank you for contributing to frog monitoring and research in South Australia!
Join us for a celebration and supper at the beautiful BanrockStation including a night walk and a chance to build your skills with local ecologists!
The workshop will give you a basic understanding of the frog species in your area and how to undertake your own frog surveys using the FrogWatch website and free FrogSpotter app.
Our workshop facilitator, Regina Durbridge, will introduce you to her family of live frogs and provide a hands-on session using the FrogWatch tools.
What do I need to do before the workshop?
We recommend you register as a member on FrogWatch. Simply visit www.frogwatchsa.com.au to setup your account using your current email address. If you have a smart phone or tablet you can download the FrogSpotter app.
What do I need to bring to the workshop?
If you have a smartphone or tablet with the FrogSpotter app downloaded, please bring it along. If you don’t have access to a smart phone or tablet, don’t worry, we will also run through how to load audio from other sources onto the website.
For those wishing to participate in a practice survey after the workshop, please bring warm clothes and a torch/head torch.
Supper will be provided.
