You are invited to join us for a special 100% Zouk edition of Friday Night Classes at Dance Culture.

This week we are featuring instructors Alex Bryan (Dancing With The Stars) and Madalyn Milazzo.

We will be running a total of three fun classes in Brazilian Zouk.

At 7pm: In one room we will look after those who are beginning or not yet experienced and in the other room we will look after those with some experience. Complete beginners welcome and encouraged to join in the fun. Experienced dancers are encouraged to share the gift of dance by encouraging friends and colleagues to come along and give Latin dancing a try.

At 8pm: We will have one "open level" Zouk class for everyone including those who have just done the Intro class and those who already have prior experience dancing Zouk.

The class format will be approximately 25 minutes of teaching time followed by practice time. Between classes we will be sanitising the studio in compliance with our industry's COVIDSafe Plan.

These classes are an opportunity to have a bit of fun while learning and practicing Zouk dancing. Please feel free to dress up for an end of week night-out.

Doors open at 6pm. Those with experience in Zouk dancing will typically filter in between 6pm and 6:45pm for a few dances before classes start. If you've never learned any Zouk before you are most welcome to arrive any time you like but there won't be much for you to do other than to watch until the classes start at 7pm so we recommend that you aim to arrive between 6:45pm and 6:55pm.

We are a COVIDSafe venue so please make sure you observe all social distancing requirements when not dancing. When dancing please regularly avail yourself of the many hand sanitising stations and wash your hands in the kitchenette and bathrooms. Please also do your best to spread out as much as possible during classes and practice times. We follow the Dance and Physical Performing Arts Industry COVID Safe Plan (Stage 3) found on the AUSDance website.

Passes

Only 60 passes are available so make sure you book in advance to avoid missing out. Each pass is only $25 per person for the whole night. Booking early also allows us to keep an eye on the leader-follower ratio so that everyone has the best experience possible.

Venue

You can find Dance Culture at 474 Ipswich Road, Annerley. The door to the studio is between Yesterday's Thrift Shop and the Lifeline Shop. There is plenty of street parking down Dudley Street East as well as parking out the back of Dance Culture (also accessible from Dudley Street East).

COVIDSafe Requirements

Dance Culture is COVIDSafe. Please stay home if you are not feeling well. We will happily credit your pass to a future event/class or transfer it to one of your friends.

Refund Policy

As this event is limited by numbers, and will likely sell out, refunds are only possible if you request the refund at least 48 hours in advance of the event starting.

On the day if you stay home due to illness, please let us know and we will give you credit for a future event. This is the only case in which credit will be given as you are occupying a "spot" in a limited space.

You are welcome to transfer your pass to anyone else at any time up to the start of the event.
