Killer disco bump. Wine as you’ve never tasted it before. A community that’s ready to party down.
That’s what’s on your dance card at Fresh Wine Disco; a nod to the new guard of winemakers in the Adelaide Hills – and Basket Range in particular – who are gaining recognition around the globe for their progressive winemaking techniques and unique flavours.
Led by Tasting Australia 2017 ambassador Taras Ochota (Ochota Barrels), this is an afternoon/evening to let your hair down, open your mind and palate and share the experience with fun-loving friends.
First there will be fresh 2017 vintage to slurp – in absolute copiousness – as it is siphoned straight from the barrel by the winemaker into your glass.
This is an exclusive insight into the world of low intervention winemaking, and an opportunity to meet the craftsmen at the helm who have precisely blended the season’s pick, no more than weeks off the vine from vineyards around the country
Then, make way for the shiny disco balls as DJ Boogie Monster – actor/DJ Alex Dimitriades – Skin Contact DJs and Driller Jet Armstrong hits the Earth Shaker Sound System for some old school swag and 70s/80s disco smash that is sure to get feet moving and your heartbeat pumping to the rhythm.
With a ticket you can enjoy more than 30 wine tastings throughout the evening along with great beats. Sydney institution Mary’s Burgers will be providing food for purchase on the night.
