Event description
Discover the artistic side of intentional camera movement photography in Freo!

About this Event

Tap into your artistic side in this very special photo walk and workshop that will have you discovering how to capture the soul and spirit of place! Move beyond using photography as a representational medium, and learn how you can use your camera in creative ways to create and capture mood, emotion and vibe.

Join the always creative Johannes Reinhart (multi-accoladed fine art photographer) on a trek through the streets and lanes of Fremantle as you explore the technique known as intentional camera movement. Using a neutral density filter (ND filter) on your lens, you slow down your shutter speed down and begin to shoot more of what you sense and feel about a place, about light.

This unique photography experience is for photographers who want to try something different, discover new techniques and come away with captures that are more than just a snapshot of a thing! Johannes will show you how to use your ND filter to grab long exposures and how to work your camera when shooting intentional camera movement.

You will need a neutral density filter for this event (we recommend an ND8 or ND16 filter -- if you don't have an ND filter, you can purchase one from your local photography retailer).

Places are limited to 20 participants, so don't miss out!
