Dive In to the FREMANTLE UNDERWATER FILM FESTIVAL 2016!
You are invited to attend a SPECIAL EVENING that SHOWCASES the DIVERSITY AND WONDER OF OUR GLOBAL OCEANS through a broad variety of SHORT UNDERWATER FILMS.
The first OVERSEAS SCREENING for the Fremantle Underwater Film Festival (FUFF) is to be held in Auckland City, New Zealand on Friday the 28th of October 2016 at the University of Auckland, School of Business in the Owen G Glenn Building in OGGB5 Lecture Theatre in Auckland City, New Zealand.

The OFFICIAL SCREENINGS for the Fremantle Underwater Film Festival (FUFF) were held in Fremantle, Western Australia on the 23rd and 24th of September 2016 at The Fremantle Fibonacci Centre - 19 Blinco Street, Fremantle with a SOLD OUT Friday show on the Opening Night.
AUCKLAND SCREENING INFO
Please come early to the venue.
Doors will be open from 6:30pm.
Festival guests will be seated for the show from 7:00pm and the Lecture Theatre doors will be closed for screening at 7:30pm sharp. Please bring either your printed ticket or a screen shot of the ticket on your mobile phone.
The FUFF screening involves two Acts of approximately 1 hour each featuring 18 short underwater films from around the world.
Ensure you arrive early to not miss out. There will be a 15 minute interval between Act I and Act II to use the bathroom facilities and purchased snacks or drinks from the vending machines on site. These vending machines accept Eftpos and Cash.
We ask you please to observe that IT IS VERY IMPORTANT that you give time to find the venue, your parking bay and to purchase your drinks and snacks BEFORE doors close at 7:30pm sharp. There is a foyer area where you can relax before the show and during interval that is very comfortable.
The FUFF will be screened at the UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND - SCHOOL OF BUSINESS in the OWEN G GLENN BUILDING in Lecture Theatre OGGB5 which is located at 12 GRAFTON ROAD, AUCKLAND.
IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS TO THE LECTURE THEATRE OOGB5
The OGGB5 Lecture Theatre is located inside the Owen G Glenn Building (also called the Business School) on 12 Grafton Road. To get to the correct Lecture Theatre, go inside the main building entrance on Grafton Road.
Enter through the glass doors into the main foyer area.
Take the stairs to the LEFT of the main foyer area down to the bottom.
A sign for the Lecture Theatre OGBB5 will be hanging from the ceiling at the base of the stairs.
From the base of the stairs (where there is a second lower level foyer area), follow the sign to the LEFT to find the Lecture Theatre OGBB5. Tickets will be checked at the door here.
Underground parking is available next to the venue on 12 Grafton Road. Underground parking is charged for a flat rate of $6.00 per vehicle from 5:00pm until 11:30pm. The carpark closes at 11:30pm and your vehicle must be off the premises before then.
Extra tickets not sold before the show will be available at 7pm ONLY at the door for extra friends to join in and watch for $30. It is best to pre-book all tickets before the show on Eventbrite to ensure you don't miss out.
Door sales will be CASH ONLY. It is essential that correct change is bought as there will be NO CHANGE AT THE VENUE FOR DOOR SALES.

FUFF Screenings occur internationally for the first time in 2016.
In our 2nd year of screeening, FUFF will have two (2) shows in Fremantle, Western Australia and one (1) show in Auckland, New Zealand.
FREMANTLE UNDERWATER FILM FESTIVAL AIMS
During the festival we aim to:
- Share interesting, fun and thought-provoking underwater short films to share the wonder of the ocean with you
- Showcase the talented underwater film makers and animators from around the world, especially those that have a message surrounding marine education or conservation that can grow our awareness of our marine realm
- Raise awareness about Maui Dolphins' critically endangered status and how important people power is for creating positive change for our Underwater World.
- Raise funds for a Maui Dolphin Conservation Fund to enact effective means addressing some of the key issues facing Maui Dolphins' and all other marine life: Overfishing, Bycatch, Ocean Oil Drilling, Pollution, Dead Zones, Coral Depletion, Acidification.
- Provide education about the importance of Marine Biodiversity Conservation and the precious nature of our Underwater World
- Promote the City of Fremantle as a unique ambassador for the Underwater Realm and Marine Conservation
