FAQs - Team and Player Registrations.

Step 1. Team Captains / Managers ... How does a team register using the Eventbrite website?

Team captains will need to register with Eventbrite & "CREATE A TEAM". You can do this first and later come back and change or edit the team name. Each team name MUST be unique. If you create a team as "St.Elsewhere" & then buy tickets for Men's A and Women's division in the SAME transaction then BOTH teams will be called "St.Elsehwere".

Step 1A. Team Captains ... If you need to have a different team name for each team, ie. ABCteam A or XYZteam B, then you must follow the "CREATE A TEAM" process for EACH team separately !!

Next, you will need to CHOOSE the option for 6 tickets in the DROPDOWN adjacent to the correct Division you will play in ... Mens/Womens/Mixed or Recreational.

Team captains will next have to enter 6 player names & email details, also any dietary requirements and then go to the checkout. There will be 2 methods of payment that will be accepted .... See FAQ payment details below.

https://www.eventbrite.com.au/support?lg=en_AU

https://www.eventbrite.com.au/support/articles

Step 2. Team Captains / Managers .... Why can I only choose 0 or 6 tickets next to each Division/Grade?

Because Team Captains need to register their TEAM of 6 players to RESERVE a team spot in that tournament division. By choosing "6" it indicates you will register 6 player names, emails & other details. By entering specific email addresses, those players will receive an invitation to join your team, and also be told that the registration has been paid.

Step 3. How do I pay for my team registration?

There will be 2 methods of payment that will be accepted ... If you select select Payment Method: "Pay by Credit/Debit Card", your team / single player registration will be confirmed immediately. If you choose the Payment Method: "Pay by Invoice" option, then you will receive an email, and you have 72 hrs to make the Bank Account transfer. If payment is not made promptly, then your team registration or single player entry may be cancelled.

** Please note, Payment will be by credit card **only** after 23/9/2016 **

Step 4. Extra Players .... How does a team add more players (ie. 7th, 8th, 9th ...) using Eventbrite website?

The team captain will be able to invite extra players to "JOIN A TEAM", by giving that player the Team Name and password (if one has been set up). The player(s) will then be able to "JOIN A TEAM" on the tournament event page. Single players will have the same payment options, This registration ticket will be available to purchase after team registration opens. See FAQ as detailed below.

** Any players NOT registered via the online ticketing system will be required to pay $100 registration & late fee to the Tournament Director, before being allowed to play **

Are there any fees or charges to the team/player registrations this year?

If you select to pay by credit card (AMEX, Mastercard, VISA), then each ticket will have an Eventbrite card fee of $0.99 per player.

If I select "Pay with Invoice" then where do I transfer the money?

You will receive an email, with the invoice amount owing. You should transfer the money to the Freezone account, within 72hrs of receiving this email, or your registration my be cancelled. If a team ceases to have at least 2 female players due to injuries/unforeseen circumstances (to be approved by the tournament director), the team may substitute the missing female player with a male player, but he will be prohibited from blocking, jump serving and attacking the ball above the top of the net.

Can my team enter the best team uniform competition?

Uniforms involving dangerous items such as necklaces, rings, thongs etc. are not recommended to be worn on court while playing.

Will teams be moved up/down a Division by the Tournament Referee & Committee?

At the discretion of the tournament committee and in consultation with the team captain, teams may be asked to play to in a higher or lower division depending on the skills and capacity of players. The number of teams registered will determine the number and length of games played – it is Freezone’s aim to provide as many pool games on the day as possible, plus a semi-final and/or final match.
