Description

Memoirs of a Grand Master: Recollections of MWBro. Bruce Bartrop PGM
Many who hear the name Bartrop within the City of Ballarat instantly associate it with the established Real Estate Service in Lydiard St South. Yet, Principal of the company, Bruce Bartrop has actively been involved within Freemasonry since 1957 when he first joined. Since this time, MWBro. Bruce Bartrop has held a number of senior positions within Freemasonry and was the President of the Board of Benevolence in 1990. He was also the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Victoria from 1995-1997, and Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria from 2005-2007.

Please join us on Saturday, 23 September at 2pm at the Ballarat Library to hear MWBro. Bruce Bartrop PGM give his recollections as Grand Master and what Freemasonry means to him and to the wider community.

This presentation is part of a free lecture program by Freemasons Victoria Library & Museum.

MASONIC MYSTICISM & SYMBOLISM: September Display at the Ballarat Library
Since its establishment in 1889, the United Grand Lodge of Victoria has maintained a Library & Museum Collection which has provided Masonic literature to Freemasons. Over time this collection has been extended to include objects, archives, historical ephemera and the portraits of many Grand Masters.
Today this collection is considered one of the largest of its type in Victoria and therefore maintains state and national significance. This display highlights some of these objects from within the Freemasons Victoria Library & Museum Collection.
