FREEDOM DAY - A Stand in the Park, MELBOURNE
Event Information
About this Event
Australia's national FREEDOM DAY is here again - 'A Stand in the Park', hosted by Convoy Liberation.
Take a stand with the Victorian community; standing for FREEDOM OF CHOICE for the proposed mandatory COVID vaccines that are expected to be pushed on the masses through coercive tactics such as 'no jab, no fly', 'no jab, no pay', and other policies in the pipeline designed to take away the freedom to choose a risky and experimental medical treatment that is neither necessary nor desired by the silent majority.
Join us for a peaceful picnic protest in the park, next door to CSL Broadmeadows where manufacturing has begun on the controversial AstraZeneca vaccine. This location is symbolic, to send a message to government authorities and corporations that we do not need a COVID vaccine and we DO NOT CONSENT to being coerced into making an impossible decision that could have dire consequences on our longterm health. We stand up and declare that we WILL NOT accept a 'new normal' designed to hold our liberties hostage until a vaccine for Coronavirus is accepted by the majority population, against our will.

A NOTE POLICE INVOLVEMENT:
We understand that after the Cup Day protest, many activists are feeling they are unable to trust the police and may be worried about a stationary event that leaves them open to targeting as 'sitting ducks'. We want to reassure everyone that Convoy Liberation have since hosted a similar successful CHO compliant protest event with respectful support from the police, at the 'Uphold the Right' protest in St Kilda on Saturday 21st Nov.
The police are happy to work with us to keep our protesters safe if an event is organised in compliance with the Chief Health Officer's Directions. This event will be no different, and a relatively small police presence compared to past non-compliant events is expected.
We hope this reassures you that this event should go off without a hitch and that you, your family and friends will be left alone to enjoy the day.

A NOTE ON CHO DIRECTIONS:
For this event to be organised in line with the CHO Directions, the following considerations have been applied:
* We will be engaging volunteer crowd Marshalls to help people congregate in groups of 50.
* Groups of 50 will be allocated a marked designated area of 100 metres squared to allow for the recommended physical distancing of 2 metres squared for outdoor spaces.
* We advise people that if they are unable to physically distance at approximately 1.5 metres, they may wish to wear a mask as the current directions suggest. We this up to individuals to police and to decide what is right for them.

A STATEMENT REGARDING THE OTHER PROTEST EVENT ON SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER AGAINST 'COVID NORMAL' & TO PROSECUTE DAN ANDREWS:
Due to 'A Stand in the Park' interstate event collaboration & coordination, different groups of organisers in Melbourne are hosting two seperate 'Freedom Movement' demonstrations this weekend over two seperate days. Unfortunately, despite attempts between groups to resolve the date clash and avoid back to back protests, the situation was unable to be prevented.
Both groups are in moral support of each other's events and do not wish for this to be a divisive issue in our movement. If you can support both events, great, but if you only have the energy to go to one, choose the one that fits best with your values and convenience.
If you wish to participate in the other protest against the 'COVID Normal' policies and the Dan Andrew's government check out the event links below. Please note this particular event may not be managed with police approval.
