Event description
Cybersecurity is not easy! It is expensive and time-consuming. To ensure that you are doing it correctly you need an A.C.T.I.O.N plan

About this event

"Business security without a plan is just you hoping you will not be hacked"

You need a cybersecurity action plan?Cybersecurity and protecting your stuff from the cybercriminal can be a daunting process. The size of your organisation does not matter!Everyone is a target. But the questions that need to be addressed are mind-blowing!

  • What do I need?
  • How do I do it?
  • What do I protect?
  • How do I identify risks?
  • How do I manage risk?
  • What technology do I need?
  • Can we afford it?
  • How do I get perspective?

What you need to do is take A.C.T.I.O.N.Over the last 3 months we have been working on your A.C.T.I.O.N. PlanThe beauty of this plan is that it allows anyone to make proactive decisions about the cybersecurity of their organisation. So what is the A.C.T.I.O.N you need to take.

Assets - Identify your Assets (people, information, property and reputation), prioritise them and then work out the risks to those assets and mitigate those risks

Controls - use management controls through policy, process, procedures, plans and standards to ensure your organisation is on track. Use the ones you already have or make new ones.

Team - Your people can be your best defence or a weakness just waiting to happen. Strengthen them with awareness, training and education.

Integrated systems - use technology within a framework that makes it easier to control security but also spending and budgets

Operational resilience - No matter how good you are and how secure your system is there will be issues. You need a path back to business as normal as fast as possible as well as the capability to see what happened.

Nex Gen innovation - we all like the next best bright shiny thing. We need a way to incorporate innovation into the system while addressing the security requirements of the business.

If you are a manager, owner, C-Level executive or board member of a not for profit organisation, charity, association or small or medium business then you need to look at your A.C.T.I.O.N plan.
