FREE NDIS Info session and Q&A with MDAA
Event Information
About this Event
The Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association (MDAA) has been advocating for people with disabilities from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds for over 25 years and has proven records in supporting people with disability to have meaningful lives.
MDAA has been selected to perform the community connector role free of charge to support people from CALD background to access the NDIS. The NDIS aims to provide reasonable and necessary supports to those who have disabilities, special needs or medical conditions that impact their daily life, so that they can live with better quality of life and increased independence for greater community and workplace participation.
Statistics have shown that many eligible participants from CALD communities still do not access NDIS services due to language barrier and a lack of understanding about the NDIS system and its benefits. Therefore, as community connectors, we would like to offer free help and assistance to client and their families who are experiencing hardships due to a disability to access the NDIS.
MDAA will be providing a FREE info session with Q&A about MDAA, NCCP (National Community Connector Program) and NDIS related matters on the 15th of December 11am-12pm.
