Free NDIS Arabic and Auslan Information Session - Muslim Care

Muslim Care will be hosting a free NDIS (National Insurance Disability Scheme) engagement and information session, to provide education to the community about the changes and entitlement to individuals with a disability their families, and carers.
This session is suitable for individuals with a disability, individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, individuals who speak Arabic, their family, and carers from the wider community.
It is also open to anyone with a particular interest in the NDIS and its rollout.
The session will be presented in English, with an Arabic and Auslan interpreter present.
The session will help you:
- Understand what the NDIS is
- Understand how the NDIS works
- Gain an awareness of eligibility for the NDIS
- Understand what kind of support you can access though the NDIS
- Understand if, and how the NDIS may affect your disability support pension, Newstart Allowance or Mobility Allowance.
- Give you an opportunity to ask questions
The session is being held in conjunction with NDIA, to provide further education and awareness to the community with respect to the changes and NDIS rollout.
Join us, and learn about what is planned and how you, and the wider community can benefit from the NDIS.
Light refreshments will be served, with an opportunity to interact with other community members of the community.

Can I attend without RSVPing?
It is recommended that you RSVP so that we know how many to cater for. You are still able to come on the day without RSVPing.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
It is recommended that you drive to the information session, there is plenty of onsite parking.
Is attendance by invitation only?
No, most certainly not. The aim of this event is to reach as many people in the wider community as possible to let them know about the opportunities of the NDIS. Please feel free to share this event with as many people as possible.
