Farmers in the Tamworth region are about to get access to a large and reliable supply of high quality composted soil amendments.

About this event

Farmers in the Tamworth region are about to get access to a large and reliable supply of high quality composted soil amendments to improve the health of their soil and the resilience of their production systems. This event is the first opportunity to view this compost, and how it is being made (at scale) right here in Tamworth. You will also hear from speakers with knowledge and experience in how to cost effectively use compost to achieve a return on investment in the short term while building soil organic matter (including soil carbon) and microbial activity over the longer term. You will join a coach tour to the new facility and back. This event is particularly for farmers who have already adopted or are moving towards regenerative agricultural systems and are seeking biological inputs that will build their soil health. Morning tea and lunch will provided.

To celebrate its first tonne of compost produced in Tamworth, the facility operator Renew Organics will be donating one tonne of compost to Tamworth Regional Landcare for every order of 100 tonnes or more by a farmer in the Tamworth Region.
