Do you want to learn more about living in Australia and how to make your democratic right to vote count?

A FREE CIVICS AND CITIZENSHIP COMMUNITY WORKSHOP

Auspire - The Australia Day Council WA and Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, are pleased to provide this opportunity to attend a FREE Civics and Citizenship workshop, proudly supported by the Office of Multicultural Interests and presented in partnership with the Constitutional Centre and the Electoral Education office. The session will cover:

  • The Australian Constitution
  • How the Australian parliamentary system works
  • Australia’s levels of Government
  • How to vote
  • Information about the benefits of community participation
  • Information about various programs that recognise positive community contribution

This workshop may be beneficial to those who are wanting to attain Australian Citizenship. Participants will also receive a Certificate of Participation.

  • Recognise and celebrate individuals and/or groups, and the contribution they make to society, building stronger, more resilient communities.
