Preparing for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

A practical view:

An informative session for people with a disability, families and carers:

  • Do you know how you'll be contacted by the NDIS and your rights as part of this process?

  • Do you know what to do to get prepared for the transition to the NDIS?

  • Updates on the scheme including some of the concerns

  • Time for questions both personal and technical


Presenter

Christine Scott has a rich working knowledge of the disability system, along

with personal experience as a parent of a young adult with a disability who is now funded by the NDIS.

Christine also works at VALID (Victorian Advocacy League for Individuals with a Disability Inc) and has experience in supporting individuals and their families with resolving issues and getting the best out of the NDIS in the Barwon launch site.

Please Note the sessions are both the same content (not a series) so you only need attend either the morning or afternoon session.
