Event Details

Fracking - see it for yourself! 12/13th July

The fossil fuel industry has big plans to Frack for unconventional gas across our state.

We'd love you to join us for an 'eye-opening' two day field trip to areas north of Perth that are currently being targeted for some of the first 'trial' fracking operations in WA.

You'll see first-hand recent and proposed frack sites. We'll get to visit beautiful national parks and nature reserves in the unique 'Kwongan heathlands' which are under immediate threat from this destructive industry and we'll spend time meeting with local community members looking at how we can take effective action to protect our land, water and climate.

Overnight accommodation will be at a lovely camping ground.  There will be a small cost for travel (if on hire bus) a shared meal and your camping spot (from $22). Car pooling is also being planned.

You will need to bring your own lunch (x2), snacks and breakfast.  There is a fully equipped kitchen.
