Hear from some of Victoria’s leading creative entrepreneurs and learn how Foundry658 could super charge your creative business.

About this Event

Are you an artist or creative practitioner with a business idea you’d like to grow? Find out how you can potentially access support and funding to accelerate your creative business journey by attending a roadshow about the new state government funded Foundry658 initiative to support the creative industries.

We will introduce you to Foundry658 and you can hear about the different programs we will offer that can help you to grow and scale creative ideas into sustainable and successful businesses. We will answer all your questions about Foundry658 programs for emerging entrepreneurs, and the Accelerator program which will offer a three-month intensive program and $20k for emerging creative business teams.

The evening will open with GPAC CEO Joel McGuinness introducing the guests and highlighting the opportunities for creatives in Geelong as part of the $38.5 million redevelopment of GPAC. We will then hear from some of Victoria’s leading creative entrepreneurs including Peter Tullin (REMIX Summits, CultureLabel.com).

Full line up will be:

  • Anna Burkey, Head of StartSpace, State Library Victoria & Helen Simondson, Head of Special Projects, ACMI - introduction to Foundry658
  • Stuart Murray & Leigh Ryan, Co-Director's, Pillowfort Creative - local creative entrepreneurs Stuart and Leigh will talk about their journey building an animation studio in Geelong
  • Jennifer Cromarty, Founder, Creative Geelong - on the Creative Geelong story to date and how they are supporting creative entrepreneurs in the city
  • Andrea Bruce & Angela Simons, from Renew Geelong - the unfolding plans for Renew Geelong and how you can get involved

The Roadshow takes place at Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) on August 7th, 6.30 - 8.30pm.

Foundry658 is run by State Library Victoria and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) with support from Creative Victoria.
