How bad can it get and how to get back on top?

Through the life of an entrepreneur one goes through the highs and lows of building and scaling a business. While the facade of an entrepreneur always shows strength, what happens behind the scenes is an untold story where substance abuse, suicide and family breakups are a real thing.

A panel of founders will share their stories and discuss mental health for Founders and their teams.

Jay Spence

Dr. Jay Spence is the founder of Uprise, a healthtech startup for businesses focused on improving employee mental health. His research on the the use of online technology to improve access to evidence-based mental health has resulted in several awards including the ANZ Mental Health Service Achievement Awards and the National Invention and Innovation Award. Uprise was voted the Best Startup For Social Good, best new Business App in 2016 and is backed by Telstra and Medibank.

Sean Hall

Sean Hall is an awarded marketer, innovator, Speaker (TEDx) and strategist with twenty years of diverse Leadership.

As Founder of Energx , Sean works with Australian organisations who share the belief that the most valuable, sustainable and high growth potential asset they have is the collective energy and creativity of their people. Endorsed by The University of Sydney Business School, Energx assesses and builds the skill of ‘energy intelligence’ or ExIQ TM at an individual and collective level.

Mark Mendel

Mark is a successful founder and natural entrepreneur who previously bootstrapped his last business, iBuyNew, a digital property marketplace, through to a public listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2016.

Mark is passionate about digital marketing and business strategy and loves giving back by mentoring, consulting and advising other start-ups.

Megan Flamer

Megan has just returned from four years in San Francisco where she consulted on organisational development, communications and mindfulness for some of the world’s biggest tech and media companies and has recently been appointed BlueChilli’s newest Program Director running the Coca-Cola Amital Xcelerate program.

Megan is also a highly regarded mindfulness consultant, having run her own yoga retreat and personal development company, creating mindfulness programs for high performance teams at Google, Facebook and HSBC, as well as working with vulnerable clients in prisons in Australia and the US.
