Run, don't walk, into our Dec 2016 - Jan 2017 school holiday photography workshops! Learn the technical and creative aspects of photography, and get a print of your favourite photo at the end of the day.
$80 9.30am - 2.30pm pdf notes included
The morning session will introduce f-stops, shutter speeds, ISO, metering, colour temperatures and anything else we can squeeze in. You will learn which camera settings work for which shooting situations.
After lunch we'll cover the artistic side of image-making. We will introduce the concepts of perception and sight, creative composition, story-telling and narrative, and elements of design such as line, colour and balance - with the emphasis on having lots of fun.
The day wraps with a quick intro to printing and everyone will leave with a printed copy of their favourite photo from the day.
Skill level: suitable for all.
Equipment required: any DSLR or compact camera that has manual controls.
Info for parents: the studio will be open from 9am and you are welcome to come in and have a coffee with the fotografica tutors before the day starts. All fotografica tutors are registered Blue Card holders.
We ask that children byo lunch, water, sunscreen, closed-in shoes (to be worn when shooting outdoors).

A number of the exercises in this workshop may be held outdoors time and weather permitting. Please note that Living Image is an air-conditioned all-weather venue so if we are unable to shoot outside we have numerous opportunities to shoot inside.
Living Image does not have the space to accommodate parents who wish to stay for the workshop, except in special circumstances.
