Event Details

As OD practitioners, we support leaders in working with complexity, and never has there been a more critical time to do this. Today’s concept of what makes a successful leader has changed. The old hierarchical model that depended on a few people at the top for leadership simply doesn't work anymore. In today's more volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous business environment (VUCA), decentralised control and leadership through networks of people at all levels are crucial for success. Successful 21st Century Leaders are agile in their thinking, human-centred and, importantly, understand things are moving too quickly to make all decisions. They empower their teams to unleash, in an organised way, the vast pool of talent and creative ideas that will support them in achieving their strategic objectives. This is a true Leader’s obsessive quest.

In this two hour session, Kristyn will unveil "A Leader's Six Obsessions" and take a deep dive into the first one - "Fostering Trust" using the BRAVING framework from Brene Brown's new work "Dare to Lead" to facilitate a practical session of self-reflection.

We pride ourselves on being unique – we are not traditional or bureaucratic and there are no sales pitches going on when we get together! ODA is experiential, fun, welcoming and hospitable. We are keenly interested in our members and what they bring.

ODA aims to actively contribute to the development of humane and effective workplaces through our focus on organisational development. We provide a home for those interested in OD to share, connect and grow in a safe and supportive space for professional development.

At ODA, we’re all very different but share a passion for learning, improvement and results – at individual, team and organisational levels. ODA facilitates collaborative learning to enhance the practice of OD across the many workplaces we are involved in.
