Fostering ethics and confidentiality: Strategies for support workers and caregivers

About this event

Join Dr Mary Anne Hall as she explores practical strategies for developing and maintaining work role boundaries in the disability setting. This Webinar discusses issues such as: duty of care and the provision of non-discriminatory work practices; conflict of interest; client/family interactions and confidentiality.

This Webinar is suitable for disability support workers and for NDIS providers, who manage teams of care providers. It is especially relevant for all persons who provide services within ‘in-home’ and ‘small group’ settings.

This Webinar will discuss:

  • Ensuring compliance to a code of conduct
  • How to practice relationships with clients that are nurturing and ethical
  • How to preserve client confidentiality for the purpose of building trust
  • How to communicate with client’s families in an ethical and supportive manner
