Who is the Workshop For?
Foster carers from LBI partner agencies in South Australia.
Key Content
This webinar, supported by participant engagement (questions, polling and feedback), will bring focus to the following evidence-based content.
- Understanding the risks and opportunities of the internet, AI, chatbots and social media on children and young people, in particular young people in the care system (and children with backgrounds of trauma and neurodiversity).
- How to support children and young people develop a healthy awareness of online risks and opportunities, including digital literacy and critical reflective skills.
- Strategies specific for foster carers to manage risks, work with children and other supporting adults in shared intent, and grow healthy online actions.
Facilitators
The session will be delivered by a LBI Foundation practitioner with significant experience in supporting children and young people within family contact arrangements.

Delivery
The session will be delivered by Zoom, which is an online web-based platform that can be accessed by smart phone, tablet and computer. All participants who register will receive an email 24 hours before the session with the Zoom code.

- Free for foster carers from LBI partner agencies. Please register through Eventbrite.
Additional Information
This workshop is a Specialist Application Module of the broader IMPACT Program. Participants completing the workshop will be invited to complete an online accreditation process and receive a certificate linked to their LBI learning record.
