FOREST BATHING: MINDFUL NATURE WALKS - DEC/JAN SCHEDULE
ABOUT
Join Jeff Simmons (B.Sc., Grad Dip Outdoor Education) on a gentle forest walk where you will be invited to participate in a variety of mindfulness and sensory activities. After some of these activities, you will be invited to share your experiences.
It’s all about slowing down and for most of the time, being really quiet, so that you can experience the healing properties of the natural world.
LOCATION
Aldinga Scrub.
Meet at the carpark at the corner of Dover and Fraser Street, Aldinga Beach.

SCHEDULE & ABOUT
Each Forest Bath experience goes for approximately 2.5 hours. We meet at the carpark at the corner of Dover and Fraser Street, Aldinga Beach. Please be on time or the entire program will be delayed and we may not have time to complete it.
The walk will be no more than 3km with a gentle gradient, but the footing may be uneven or loose at times. Please let me know immediately if you have medical conditions we need to be aware of or if you will be uncomfortable sitting on the ground.
PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING
- Personal water bottle
- Jumper and warm hat if it is cool
- Torch for evening walks
- An open mind
PLEASE WEAR THE FOLLOWING
- Enclosed sturdy outdoor shoes/boots
- Long comfortable pants
- Long sleeved collared shirt
- Hat for daytime walks
BEFORE YOU COME
- Don’t plan anything immediately following the walk
- Don’t plan for anyone to contact you during the walk
- Read carefully the information below so that you come with the appropriate mind frame.
FOREST BATHING...CRAZY IDEA?
In 1984, Roger Ulrich found that over 9 years, surgical patients in a Pennsylvanian hospital, made better and quicker recoveries, if they had a natural view from their beds.
Scientific studies indicate that while forest bathing, it’s likely that:
• Your heart rate & blood pressure will drop

• Your feelings of personal health, robustness and coherence will increase
• Your stress & anxiety levels will drop. These are related to almost all chronic health conditions including heart disease, diabetes, skin conditions, asthma, arthritis, auto immune & chronic fatigue, just to name a few.
PRIVATE SESSIONS
Can be negotiated at the time of your choice, at our venue closest to you: $145 for 1 or 2 people and $15/person for additional people
