An evening of ocean appreciation for the 2022 World Environment Day Festival.
About this event
The ocean is our playground, food source, climate regulator, oxygen producer and home to a diverse array of marine plants and animals.
Join us for an evening celebrating and appreciating the sublime brine that is our ocean!
The evening is jam packed with a bunch of wholesome goodness!! Featuring the sweet tunes of local legend Zac Gunthorpe, beers by our mates from Your Mates Brewery, delicious food by IM IM Street Food, short clips showcasing local surf frothers and glorious surf destinations, panel discussions featuring a bunch of rad locals and blow ins and the screening of the inspiring 'Churches of the Open Sky' surf film by Nathan Oldfield.
This year's World Environment Day Festival theme is 'Only One Earth', the panel discussions will share the experiences and perspectives of surfers and share the many wonderful things happening nationally and locally to protect and restore coastal and ocean environments.
Hear from the likes of Noosa Councillor Tom Wegener, local shredder Matt Cuddihy, Surfrider Foundation volunteer Dave 'Bease' Beasley, Tony Wellington, Belinda Baggs, environmentalist Pacha Light, indigenous artists Maanyung , and Project Pargo's Dylan Rowe .
Bring along a camp chair or rug as seating is limited!
Look forward to seeing you there 💙
