In this powerful 3-hour workshop you will learn state of the art techniques to help you and your child finally live a peaceful, calm life that you both deserve and crave for.

Imagine how much more enjoyable daily life would be if you could learn useful techniques you can apply instantly to guide your child from chaos mode to a calm state.

You will be learning from a Social Worker who has many years of experience working with some of the most vulnerable and reactive children in Brisbane. Through this hands-on experience, she has discovered the powerful benefits of Yoga and Meditation in cultivating emotion regulation skills.

After spending years working with Foster Care agencies, Jessica McIlveen realised that a diagnosis does not give us a black and white indication of what the child needs to live their best life possible. Furthermore, a diagnosis provides little insight into the thoughts and feelings they are experiencing daily which will be the driving force behind their behaviours.

Jessica realised parents and carers were sick and tired of trying the stock-standard medicalised approaches with no success and not knowing where to turn next. She decided to bring these carers a therapeutic option that understood the most current and up-to-date research which confirms that to transform the brain, we need a modality that uses the body-mind connection.

Children who explode and suffer from anxiety are reacting to sensations within the body. Unless we can support children to identify these sensations, feel them and have techniques they can use during these times, then we will not see an improvement in behaviour and quality of life.

Jessica recently had Sarah (name changed) come to her in a state of desperation. Her days were filled with tears, tantrums and crisis mode, and her nights were restless. Her beautiful son Sam (name changed) had experienced significant medical trauma and has not been able to regulate his anxiety and anger. Sarah was terrified that Sam’s anger would worsen as he got older and she would be hurt. After Sarah attended the workshop and implemented a series of tools designed to calm explosive outbursts and identify feelings before they escalate, she was able to prevent the scary explosions and felt more confident in dealing with Sam’s anxiety and anger.

You will also walk away with an awareness of the root cause of your child's complex behaviours. Through this workshop, it will become apparent to you that you hold the solution to bringing a sense of peace and calm to your child and indeed yourself.
