The FFA, in a public show of support, will use the Go Orange Round in Melbourne to demonstrate that respect towards women is vital on and off the field: it's up to everyone to actively stand up and call out sexist jokes or disrespectful language.
Football Federation Australia (FFA) in partnership with Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City FC will ‘stand up’ for a Victoria Against Violence by staging special Go Orange Round 9 games this weekend.
Victory and City FC players will wear orange armbands and kick orange soccer balls to support the Victorian Government’s orange-themed Victoria Against Violence (VAV) campaign running from November 25, the United Nation’s designated International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to December 10, Human Rights Day.
AAMI Park will also it’s premises orange to further raise awareness amongst its patrons and the wider community of the important awareness raising campaign.
