About the Christmas Twilight Markets
The Christmas Twilight Markets are the culmination of a week-long series of events as part of the annual Beaufort Street Christmas Festival. The Beaufort Street strip will come to life between Sunday 14 December and Saturday 19 December with an array of Christmas themed activities, movie nights, pop ups and the Beaufort Street Christmas Pageant.
The festival – run by the Beaufort Street Network and St Albans Church – aims to bring festive cheer to the precinct and promote local businesses.
The main event of the festival is on Saturday 19 December with the annual Beaufort Street Christmas Parade and Twilight Markets. Commencing at 5.30pm from the Mary Street Piazza, local community groups will dress up and walk down Beaufort Street, finishing at St Albans Church where a Christmas-themed twilight market will be waiting.
The markets, held on the beautiful grounds of St Albans Church, will feature two types of stalls: food and retail. Applications for food stalls are open to local, Beaufort Street brick and mortar eateries, who will expand their operations on the Saturday night to set up food stalls on the market grounds. Retail stalls will celebrate Perth’s creatives in a curated display of local artists, designers and craftspeople. Local Beaufort Street retail shops are also invited to participate.
On the day of the markets, locals and visitors to the area will be invited to meander through the stalls while grabbing a coffee or bite to eat, absorbing the festive feels with carollers, community performances and much more.
