Event description

Description

Join us at Bargoonga Nganjin, North Fitzroy Library for our Food-Know-How Sustainability Education Sessions. This is a partnership with the experts from Food-Know-How.

November 14– The Urban Pear: Fermenting and Infusing at Home – Sauerkraut, Kombucha, Kefir and Vinegars

December 5 – Plan, Buy, Cook presents preparing for the Holiday season.

The average household in Australia throws away $2000 worth of food every year. That means that one out of five bags of shopping that is purchased is never eaten.

Join us for an evening with Gaby and Jen from Plan Buy Cook to learn some simple ways to reduce the food waste and save you time and money.

“Food Know How aims to boost the community’s knowledge about getting the most out of fresh food, avoiding waste and saving money through smart food planning, shopping and storage.

It also shows how you can recycle leftovers in compost bins and worm farms, either at home, at your business or at local compost hubs.”

Bookings are essential. There is no need to being a ticket with you to this event.
