Description
Food and Agribusiness Income Diversification workshop
Are you a farm business considering diversifying your income outside of traditional farming by adding new money making activities? Income diversification has been adopted by farmers as a strategy to spread risk and ensure sustainability of a farm business. Examples include adding value to your existing product ie. converting milk into cheese or potatoes into vodka, retail offerings such as farm shops or cafes, training workshops ie. building a stonewall, and tourism ventures such as farm stays.
The Department of State Growth is running an interactive workshop aimed at guiding farm businesses in the decision making process.
During the Income Diversification workshop you will:
- critically assess your business idea
- consider the key requirements, risks and mitigation strategies.
