A journey from calm sunset to brilliant sunrise. A set of Debussy and Faure’s works create the starlit sky, while Ned Rorem’s Ariel song cycle is a depiction of night time self-reflection. Bringing us out of the night, but with a Shepherd contemplating the transcendence from his own life into a realm beyond, is Schubert’s beloved Shepherd on the Rock.
Please note this is a Saturday concert rather than a usual Sunday concert.
