A 30,000 DSE lamb and beef business with a 5-year average ROAM of > 6%, Scott will be discussing with the group his businesses growth and the pressures it has placed on enterprise mix.

David & Penny Conn | Beef | 39,000 DSE

Increasing the size of his beef herd by 15,000 DSEs in the last five years, David is a specialists at prioritising capital investment and business growth. David is also a industry leader in the area of labour efficiency, approaching 30,000 DSE per labour unit in his beef herd.

Steve & Maree Crawford | Beef & Wool | 13,000 DSE

Steve will demonstrate an extremely profitable wool enterprise, run alongside his beef herd, contributing to a 5-year average ROAM of > 7%.

David Bellinger | Beef | 20,000 DSE

Starting benchmarking with Holmes Sackett in 2002, David will be demonstrating how he has grown his business from nothing to total net assets of > $3.5 million whilst running at low equity levels.

Chris & Rachel Macqueen | Beef | 15,000 DSE

Chris and Rachel will be demonstrating how to use your peers to help start a beef business.

Event details:

  • Mainland participants leaving Essendon, Melbourne, on a chartered plane on the morning of March 7, and will arrive back in Essendon on the afternoon of March 9.
  • Tasmanian participants to purchase own tickets from Launceston, due to arrive on the same morning (March 7) and depart the same afternoon (March 9) as the mainland participants.
  • Food and accomodation taken care of, except for drinks.
