Flavours of Africa will celebrate the cultures and cuisines of Africa. Sample food from Somalia and Ethiopia while you enjoy performances from our vibrant local community. This event is a fundraiser for the annual Africultures Festival, which will be held in March 2017.
This event has a wide range of vegetarian options.

Sambusa (Somali samosas of light dough with filling of finely minced beef or vegetables sauteed with onion, garlic and coriander)
Bajiya (vege bites from Somalia filled with spinach leaves or black-eyed peas, garlic, coriander and mild peppers)
Doro wat (chicken stew from Ethiopia)
Misir wat lentils (lentil stew from Ethiopia)
Atikilt Alicha (mild vegetable stew from Ethiopia)
Suqar (meat curry from somalia)
Bariis (spiced rice from Somalia)
All served with Injera (Ethiopian bread)
Various sweets from Sudan and freshly brewed Ethiopian coffee
