FLAME BBQ Local Cook-off Competitions

City of Logan councillors are hosting four local BBQ cook-off competitions throughout Logan, where suburbs will be divided up into North, South, East and West competitions.

Winners from these four competitions will cook their signature BBQ or smoked meat at the FLAME BBQ Street festival on 17 September. The FLAME BBQ Champion will win a brand-new BBQ smoker and trophy naming them FLAME BBQ Champion of their area.

Registrations for the FLAME BBQ Local Cook-off Competitions will open Friday 1 July and close Friday 24 July.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Can we bring our pet?

Unfortunately, no. This is a pet-free event. In the best interests of event attendees and our furry friends – we remind attendees that no pets (apart from assistance dogs) are permitted into the event precinct. These monthly events are hugely popular, drawing large crowds that range in age from babies to pensioners. While most pets are friendly, the large volume of people can cause anxiety in some pets along with safety concerns for some attendees. This decision is made with the utmost consideration for the health and wellbeing of both pets and event participants. As fellow participants and animal lovers, we thank you for your understanding in implementing this policy. Assistance animals such as guide dogs are welcome in all areas.

2. Will there be a bar?

Yes, a fully licenced bar & beer garden will be on the event site. BYO alcohol is not permitted.

3. Is there seating available?

There will be various seating options available at the event and patrons are welcome to bring a picnic rug well. There are also many more places to stand, eat and drink at our dry bars.

4. Is there disabled access?

Yes. All event sites are assessable by wheelchair. Disabled parking is available onsite at each event and is managed by our Traffic Controllers. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to email for more information.
