Event description

Description

Street art is now recognised as one of the major world art movements of the past 40 years. Fitzroy, and its surrounding suburbs, are well known for incredible collections of unique street art. But how did it begin? Who have been the most influential and important local artists?

Join us on the opening night of the 2017 Gertrude Street Projection Festival with Melbourne street artist Christopher Hancock (Blender Studios, Melbourne Street Art Tours) to look at the people, styles and techniques to be found around the streets of Fitzroy and beyond.

Bookings essential. You do not need to bring a ticket with you to this event.
