Join us for a weekend of fitness, fun and friendship.


We join the freedom of travel and the fist pumping rush of exercise. Welcome to The Active Tourist! Explore active travel destinations with us. First stop - Phillip Island. With great proximity to Melbourne, this is an wonderful opportunity to explore some of the best coastal walks right on our doorstep. Walk along the sheer cliff tops of Phillip Island's most southerly point and be rewarded with superb panoramas of the island. Cape Woolamai is the highest point on Phillip Island.


This weekend is all about you, a chance to escape from your normal routine. Focus is on enjoying local surrrounds by costal and beach walking, a yoga session and high intensity workout on the beach. This weekend is tailored to suit all fitness levels. The walk is approximately 10kms with slight inclines and a few stairs, but we promise the views are worth it. Our aim is for you to finish the weekend of feeling challenged, refreshed and inspired to include active travel on your next adventure whether it is a weekend away or a trip overseas.


What to expect:


Friday Night:

You will meet us in Cape Woolami around 7pm in time for a light dinner and drinks. Sitting round yummy cheese platters we will get to know each other, this will be your quiet introduction to what we have in store for the weekend. Early to bed ready for our 10km walk starting at 9am in the morning.


Saturday:

Up for a buffet breakfast before we head out on our 10km walk along Phillip Island’s most southerly point. Soak in the amazing scenery and challenge yourself along the way the extra activites set by Cheyne our super coach. Snacks will be available along the walk. Back in time for lunch and a rest before we head off for a personal yoga session to stretch out from the morning walk. Dinner will be at a local restaurant where we will get a chance to relax and unwind from the activities during the day and enjoy a glass of wine.


Sunday:

Weather permitting your Sunday morning high intensity session will be on the beach, which is a short walk from where we are staying. We will finish our session with wander along the beach (perhaps even dip our toes) and then back in time for lunch.


Although the weekend will conclude at 2pm you will be guaranteed that we will be sending you on your way feeling accomplished in enjoying an active weekend away with new friends.


This weekend includes:

  • 3-4 hr walk with stunning views - approx 10kms
  • Yoga Session
  • HIIT Session
  • All Dinners, lunches and snacks, including Saturday Night Dinner out at a local restaurant (alcohol extra)
  • Shared Accomodation
  • Experienced and qualified coach
