Description

FISH TANK (10:00-14:00)

Fish Tank is for students interested in the idea of entrepreneurship. The Fish Tank event will provide a special opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to sharpen their business ideas. The students will participate in creative design thinking exercises, receive expert tuition on how to 'pitch' an idea (gain confidence in public speaking), and, if they want to, present their ideas. Then, the power is reversed! Student get a chance to play Fish thank judges and see how well university students with early stage startups present their ideas to them.

The format is that students work in small groups on developing a concept. It's not essential, but good if students can come along with an idea that they would like to develop.
It doesn't have to be well-formed, just enough so they can articulate it to the rest of the team that will be working with them.

Students will need to bring their own Morning Tea and Lunch.

When registering, please register 1 ticket per school.

Please then email us at sparkfestivaleducation@gmail.com indicating how many students will attend along with your contact details.

If you have any questions about whether this is suitable for your students, please call Liz Jakubowski from Ribit, Data61, CSIRO on 0472836623

(MAXIMUM OF 25 STUDENTS PER SCHOOL)
