Description

First Peoples walk: art totems, useful plants and bush foods

Help mark Black History Month by joining a guided wetlands walk to discover some of the Nurri Millen art totems, traditional Aboriginal uses of plants and other wetlands resources, and learn about and taste some bush foods.

All children must be accompanied by an adult carer. Please arrive 5 minutes early.

Requirements and what to bring

Safety requirements apply and are a condition of entry. All participants must wear a hat, secure, fully enclosed walking shoes, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent, and bring drinking water.

Participants with food allergies or special dietary requirements may wish to refrain from taking part in the bush foods tasting as a precaution. Please inform staff before the activity starts.

Suitable for adults and ages six years and over.
