The Event - First 2000 Days - Early prevention of childhood obesity

The Sydney Institute for Women, Children and their Families is proud to present a series of educational webinars relating to the first 2000 days.

Our fourth webinar in this educational series is in partnership with the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence for Early Prevention of Obesity in Childhood (EPOCH CRE), a unique collaboration of researchers, practitioners and policy-makers working together on approaches to prevent obesity in children aged 0 to 5 years. This webinar showcases the world-leading and practice-relevant research from the EPOCH CRE.

We are welcoming Professor Louise Baur to chair this event, with talks from EPOCH CRE researchers. Presentations will cover effective strategies for early prevention of childhood obesity, implementation strategies to deliver interventions in routine services, and the costs and cost effectiveness of prevention approaches.

This webinar is relevant to health professionals, health service managers and researchers interested in health promotion and early childhood health.
