This workshop will cover basic fire-retardant design concepts for properties in town and the bush, and show you how to prep for a cool burn

About this event

Fire-Retardant Design and Cool Burn Preparation is a one-day workshop for property owners in fire-affected communities. This workshop will help you develop basic skills and knowledge of fire-retardant landscape design, as well as how to prepare for a cool burn on your property. If the weather permits and conditions are safe, the Crossing will demonstrate a cool burn on our site in the afternoon/early evening.

Workshops at the Crossing focus on practical and real-life skills you can take back to your property or community to make changes to help us all live safer with fire.

Lunch is provided.

Contact josh@thecrossingland.org.au with any questions you may have.

A minimum number of 14 participants is required for this event to go ahead. In the event that we do not reach our minimum number, this event may be cancelled or postponed.

***The Crossing run our workshops and community events in the safest and most welcoming environment possible. All our staff will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and this workshop will be run in line with NSW government regulations.***
