Event description

Description

A Common Interest Work Group presented by SIRF Roundtables SA.

Attendance is free for people from member companies of SIRF Roundtables in SA.

Real time measurement of our systems and processes is the holy grail for continuous improvement. The more frequent measurement, combined with near instant feedback, lets people immediately see how their performance compares to what is desired. Are we winning? No? What do we have to do differently to win?

With modern technology, the opportunities for faster measurement and feedback are increasing all the time. But more data doesn’t mean more improvement! We’ve got to get through the six steps to go from Data to Action, and the first problem is turning that Data into Information. With so much data available, what should we measure? What are the real time measures that will matter?

Measure to Improvement

This workshop is for those that are working to engage everyone in continuous improvement – something that can’t be achieved without continuous measurement. Join others who are solving the problem of turning the right data into information, and setting up systems to get that information into the hands of the people most ready to make improvements. Some of the topics we may discuss include:

  • What real time measures are important?
  • How do you handle the data to information transformation?
  • What kind of benefits have you seen so far?
  • What do you plan in the future?
  • What would the ultimate system look like?

About SIRF Rt Common Interest Work Groups

All SIRF Rt events are designed to provide a safe environment for open discussion with peers on the topic of interest they are working on, in and around. SIRF Rt Common Interest Work Groups (CWIG’s) provide the best forum for peer-to-peer learning and best practice sharing. Participants are asked to bring something for ‘show and tell’ about the topic of the day as it applies at their organisation – it could be a full presentation, a few photos, a brief descriptions of their current efforts, a couple of charts or graphs – anything that will help improve the discussion or other participants’ understanding of your workplace. After each company shares the deeper discussion follows, guided by our practiced facilitators.
