This workshop will cover a number of the functions available within FIJI that enables researchers to extract quantitative data from their images. The workshop assumes a working knowledge of FIJI (or attendance at the FIJI for Beginners workshop) and is split into two sections:

1) Fundamentals of Image Quantification: Short lecture covering the relevant information about image quantification (e.g Thresholding, binary, segmentation, filters and image arithmatic).

2) Demonstration of image quantification: Hands on session using FIJI to get researchers using quantitative analysis functions

  • Image thresholding

  • Area & intensity analysis

  • Cell Counting

  • Cell Segmentation

  • Simple Batch Analyses
