Event description

Description

Fighting in any relationship is normal and is usually a sign that a particular standard or expectation hasn't been met. But when we fight in a way that isn't fair and doesn't allow us to achieve the intent of our objection, then the relationship can't move forward and can begin to deteriorate. The FIFO arrangement creates the extra added difficulty so prevention is better than cure.

The contents of this workshop will give you:
1. Skills to fight fairer
2. Tools to manage your emotional flooding
3. Develop a healthier appreciation for your individual differences and expectations.

We recommend you attend this workshop with your partner if possible. That's why it's called the date night series! If you can't attend with your partner, attend with your friend and make it a girls'/blokes' night out. You're going to be in Fremantle, and it's on a Friday afternoon/evening....so.....it makes sense, right?

Presenters Sandra Lam from FIFO Focus, and Kelly Simpkins from Oasis Psychology are both registered psychologists and Gottman trained therapists. Having been in relationships separated by work and providing coaching or couples counselling to FIFO couples, Sandra and Kelly will ensure you take away practical tools that will enhance your FIFO relationship.

If you have any questions, please contact Sandra (sandra.lam@fifofocus.com.au).
