This short course has been developed for anyone with an interest in applied research in the health, welfare and social development sectors. It is relevant to those wishing to conduct or supervise research projects in their workplace and for individuals interested in refreshing or extending their research knowledge and skills. It will provide a comprehensive overview of applied qualitative and quantitative research theory and practice and an opportunity for participants to undertake a hands-on research project during the 5-day program.

Internationally and nationally renowned researchers and practitioners, Associate Professor Liz Hoban and Associate Professor Jo Williams will facilitate the 5-day course.

This course is designed to build participants’ knowledge and skills in field research methods used in applied settings in Australia and internationally.
