PVOGS NSW is excited to present their inaugural event - "Fertilising an interest in O&G - Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility Interest Seminar & Networking”




Come and join us at the RANZCOG offices in St Leonards and have a chance to speak with some heavy hitting speakers in the field of O&G as well as the fertility sub-specialty including:

Dr Greg Jenkins, FRANZCOG. Chairman of NSW Training Accreditation Committee, Ex-officio Member and NSW representative on the federal council of RANZCOG. Practicing at Norwest Private, Auburn and Westmead Hospital. Infertility specialist at Genea. He also has a special interest in female genital mutilation (FGM).

Dr Warren Chan, FRANZCOG, CREI. Infertility specialist at Monash IVF and Westmead Fertility, Gynae Surgeon at the Sydney Adventist and Norwest Hospitals. He has a special interest in using surgery to improve fertility.

Dr Kim Matthews, FRANZCOG, CREI. Infertility Specialist at Monash IVF. Adolescent Gynaecologist at Westmead Hospital. She has a special interest in treating cancer patients who may require fertility options for the future.

Assoc Prof Mark Bowman, FRANZCOG, CREI. Medical Director of Genea. Infertility specialist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Former President of the Fertility Society of Australia and a prior Chairman of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Committee for RANZCOG. He sits on the International Advisory Committee of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr Hugh Porter, O&G Registrar, Western Sydney Network. With a special interest in education and developing new delivery techniques to reduce perineal injury during childbirth.



From the point of view of specialists working in the field, they will be covering the following topics:

  • The process of getting onto advanced training
  • Your life as a trainee
  • The difference between general gynaecology and infertility
  • The role of the CREI (Certification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility)
  • The context of CREI work in the public sector including oncofertility
  • A Q&A Panel



The night is scheduled to run as per the below;

  • 6.30-6.50: Careers in IVF Overview (Dr Chan)
  • 6.50-7.30: Networking & Dinner
  • 7.30-8.30: Panel Q&A discussion (all speakers)
